Hi, I’m Gil - a technical architect, traveler & mixologist who finds joy in building systems, solving problems, and crafting creative solutions both in tech and life. This blog is my playground - a space where I share what I’ve learned, explore new ideas, and (hopefully) add value to whoever stumbles across it.
What I do
I help businesses build smarter, scalable systems. Over the years, I’ve architected SaaS platforms from zero to MVP, modernized legacy infrastructures, and fostered collaboration across teams to make technology simpler and work better. Whether it’s designing infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, or rethinking tech strategies to reduce costs by 50%, I love using technology to create impactful change.
I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, including HR tech, e-commerce, and enterprise SaaS platforms, building and maintaining products that handle huge amounts of data because, let’s face it, I geek out over solving big, sticky problems.
What lights me up
When I’m not solving engineering puzzles, you might find me learning new recipes for the best old fashioned, chasing sunsets while traveling, or finishing a book on business or self-growth. I’ve explored pyramids in Giza, sailed the coast of Cape Verde, and taken food tours in “un-Googleable” neighborhoods because connecting with people and their stories often inspires the best ideas for me. Regardless of whether it’s creating software or documenting a new cocktail recipe, I believe everything we create has the potential to tell a story.
Why this blog exists
This space is partly a passion project, partly a place to showcase what I do best. Whether I’m sharing insights on cloud architecture, building automated processes, or reflecting on a recent trip, the goal is to keep learning and growing - and maybe help someone else do the same along the way.
If any of what I write resonates with you - or if you’re looking for someone to help you scale a team or a product - you know where to find me. For now, though, stick around and explore.
